Who we are
Waterstone Legal is the trading name of Waterstone Chambers LLP. We are a firm of solicitors, authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA No. 605949), and accredited under the Law Society's Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS).
Our head office is at 2–5 Minories in London, and our branch is at St George's House in Leicester. Both offices are open Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm.
What we do
We work in three areas.
Conveyancing
The legal side of buying, selling and remortgaging a home, and of changes to the home you already own.
Halal home finance
Buying or refinancing with a home purchase plan. We explain the documents you sign and work with your finance provider through to completion.
Immigration
UK visa, settlement and citizenship applications, prepared with you and checked before they go to the Home Office.
How we work
- You get a written, itemised quote before you instruct us. The figures on our fees page are the same ones our online quote uses.
- Government charges, such as Stamp Duty and Land Registry fees, are listed apart from our own fees, so you can see what goes to us and what goes to the government.
- You'll know the name of the person handling your matter, and who supervises them.
- Once you've instructed us, you can follow your matter online through Track my matter.
Regulated and accredited
The Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) sets the rules solicitors in England and Wales must follow and checks that firms keep to them. You can find Waterstone Chambers LLP, trading as Waterstone Legal on the SRA's register under number 605949.
The Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS) is the Law Society's accreditation for firms that handle residential conveyancing.
